Accomodation

We have now handed over our room reservations to The Maynard. Therefore please contact The Maynard directly to enquire about any remaining room availability.

You are able to check in to your room from 3 pm. You may wish to check in to your room during the drinks reception (2 pm to 3:45 pm), or you may wish to wait until after the wedding breakfast while the room is being turned around for the reception (6:30 pm to 7:15 pm).

If you do not want to leave your luggage in the car, The Maynard are able to store a small number of bags in their office, however space is limited.

Guest information

We’d love to celebrate with everyone, but we are only able to accommodate those named on the wedding invitation. We appreciate your understanding.

Classic wedding cocktail attire—suits and dresses—are perfect! Feel free to wear summery colours if you’d like, but most importantly, wear whatever makes you comfortable.

The wedding will be indoors. If the weather is nice, we should hopefully be outside on the patio for drinks so bring your sunglasses just in case! All outdoor areas are paved so any type of shoe should be fine.

Please take lots of photos and videos while at the wedding! There will be a QR code to scan for you to send photos and videos to us so that we can turn them into a video keepsake after the wedding.

Arrival

When you arrive, please head to the main bar where you can wait before being called up to the ceremony room. If you have parked in the car park, please register your car registration at the reception first.

The bar at The Maynard will be open from 12:30 pm if you wish to get there early. Please ensure you are in the main bar by 1:15 pm at the latest in order to take your seats for the ceremony. Anyone who arrives after the doors have closed for the ceremony will have to wait until after the ceremony ends before joining the wedding.

Please take a look at the homepage or our schedule page for timings.

Food & drink

After the ceremony, there will be sparkling wine and canapes in the garden (weather permitting) from 2:00 pm. The wedding breakfast will begin at 4:00 pm with wine provided on the tables and a toast drink for speeches. Evening food will come out at 8:30 pm.

There are bars in the garden, in the ceremony room and in the main bar if you wish to buy drinks or bar snacks.

Yes! Please include any dietary requirements in your RSVP. Some meals can be adapted for different dietary requirements, otherwise alternative meals will be provided. If you have any questions, please let us know and we can ask the venue.

If you would like non-alcoholic options provided throughout the wedding, please indicate so on your RSVP.

There is a children’s menu available which you can view on the RSVP page. All children aged 12 and under will receive the children’s menu. Children aged 13 to 17 will have the option to choose from either the standard or children’s menu.

End of the Night

At 8:30 pm, bacon butties and mushroom melts (and alternatives based on dietary requirements) will be provided.

The patio will be open until 9:00 pm. After that, you may head downstairs to get some fresh air.

Last orders at the bar are at 11:30 pm and the reception will end at midnight.

parkrun

We intend to do the Monsal Trail parkrun the day after the wedding. You are welcome to join us for a 5K run/walk at 9:00 am, or you may just wish to pop into the nearby Hassop Station café for a coffee.

We intend to hang around for a little while after parkrun in the café located at the start/finish line afterwards before we head off for our honeymoon.
